Our foundation
Built on a new life.
“SISTER Ministries is an extension of the Body of Christ to serve women formerly incarcerated by sharing the good news with them, teaching them how to follow Jesus together as members of His Body, and serving each one in Jesus’ name until He comes.”
Our vision
To equip the Church to effectively minister to formerly incarcerated women.
Our mission
Twofold, and inseparable.
- Share the love of Jesus with women who have been incarcerated.
- Meet their physical, emotional and mental-health needs by connecting them to the community.
Connect · Grow · Flourish
Three words we’ve lived by for twenty years.
Connect
A room that says welcome. The weekly meeting, a saved seat, and sisters who have been exactly where you are.
Grow
Roots, then branches. Bible study, prayer, mentorship and accountability — the slow, brave work of a life rebuilt.
Flourish
Bloom, then shade. Sisters who turn around and save a seat for the next woman through the door.
What we believe
Rooted in the historic Christian faith.
Everything we do on a Tuesday night grows from these convictions.
- The Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God.
- There is one God, eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- Jesus Christ — fully God and fully man — died for our sins and rose again.
- Salvation is by grace, through faith in Christ alone.
- The Holy Spirit lives in and transforms every believer.
- The Church is the Body of Christ, gifted for ministry.
- Christ will return — and until then, we carry out the Great Commission.
2006 — 2026
Twenty years of new beginnings.
Two decades of open doors, saved seats, and second chapters — and we’re just getting started. Join us this year as we celebrate every woman who walked in and every sister who walked with her.
